SHS Webinar on “AI Regulation & Data Privacy: What Healthcare Startups Need to Know”

AI Regulation is moving fast. Not only are the next provisions of the AI Act entering into force on 2 August 2025, but the Swiss Federal Council recently published its approach on how to move forward with AI regulation in Switzerland. In this webinar, attorney at law Gaspare Loderer will provide an overview of the legal framework that healthcare startups need to consider regarding artificial intelligence and data protection. Emphasis will be placed on the AI Act, its extraterritorial scope, the different roles and responsibilities and in particular concerning high-risk AI systems. Moreover, general principles of data protection law concerning AI will be explored, with a focus on sensitive data used in healthcare.

In financial market law he specializes in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Blockchain, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) and FinTech. Furthermore, he has several years of experience in intellectual property and competition law.
