Speakers
Sasha Hugentobler
Sasha is Swiss National Contact Person (NCP) at Euresearch for Health programmes in FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. In this role she informs and advices on the Health research and innovation programmes in Horizon Europe. She also participated and participates in several EU projects as work package leader, task leader or trainer.
She began her career as research officer at Teagasc in Ireland. Previously she carried out a PhD in biochemistry and reproductive physiology at the Universities in Galway and York in Ireland and the UK.
Rita de Brito
Rita is an Advisor at Euresearch and Swiss National Contact Point for the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Research Council (ERC), supporting researchers and innovators in accessing European funding opportunities. Her career spans academia and industry — from research scientist at the University of Zurich to Scientific Project Manager and Head of Communications at a Zurich-based pharma startup — before moving into her current advisory role. Having worked on both sides of the funding process, she brings practical, first-hand expertise to her advisory work. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Nova University of Lisbon and a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon.
